Egyptian President Mohammed Mursi issued a declaration banning all opposition to his decrees, laws and decisions, according to the BBC.

He also said that no court can disband the constituent assembly that is creating a new constitution.

Mursi removed the country's chief prosecutor and ordered a retrial of the people accused of shooting at protesters during former President Hosni Mubarak's reign.  Mubarak himself is serving a life sentence.

Mursi's actions led opposition leader Mohammed ElBaradei to say that Mursi is acting like a "new pharaoh."  ElBaradei encouraged protesters to take to the streets in opposition to Mursi's new rules.
