Rihanna has been on the pop scene for a while now, but it’s only now with “Apologetic,” her seventh album, that she’s earned an opening week #1 slot on Billboard’s Top 100. (Billboard)

Filed under “this might actually be perfect”: Cate Blanchett is in talks to play the evil stepmother in Disney’s live action “Cinderella” reboot. (The Wrap)

AMC’s got two new drama pilots on the way. “Halt & Catch Fire,” set in Texas’s 1980’s “Silicon Prairie,” and “Turn,” set in pre-Revolutionary War America (Amurica). (Vulture)

Angus T. Jones won’t be heading back to the “Two and a Half Men” set until 2013, leaving him out of this year’s closing episodes. Well, that should make things less awkward (just kidding). (Deadline)

HAHAHA, YES. Editorial exclamation aside, this is good news for X-Men fans: Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are set to reprise their roles (as Magneto and Professor Xavier) alongside new iterations Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy in the upcoming film “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” (EW)
