Voters in Colorado and Washington made history Tuesday night, approving ballot measures that will legalize marijuana for recreational use. Oregon's initiative is not expected to pass.

With 64 percent of the vote in, Colorado's Amendment 64 leads 54 percent to 46 percent. Washington's Initiative 502 is up 55 percent to 45 percent with half the vote counted so far. Oregon's legalization proposal, Measure 80, trails 56 percent to 44 percent with 55 percent reporting.

Medical marijuana has passed in several states, but Washington and Oregon are the first states to legalize the drug without requiring a prescription.
