Daytime TV has claimed another victim: Anderson Cooper.

Warner Brothers has announced it will not be renewing the beloved Silver Fox’s talk show "Anderson Live" for a third season.

“We are extremely proud of Anderson and the show that he and the entire production team have produced,” a Warner Bros. spokesperson said in a statement. “While we made significant changes to the format, set and produced it live in its second season, the series will not be coming back for a third season in a marketplace that has become increasingly difficult to break through. We will continue to deliver top-quality shows throughout next summer.”

The “significant changes” the show made following a sub-par first season included a new location, stressing same-day tapings as often as possible so they are able to deal with breaking news, and adding in an ever-changing guest co-host.

On the show, the blue-eyed CNN heavyweight discussed breaking news (often with more entertainment or culture-related topics) and had interviews with A-list celebrities and other newsworthy individuals.

However, Warner Brothers did cite the “increasingly difficult” daytime talk show marketplace as the main reason for canceling the show, which started airing in 2011.

“The Rosie Show” met its demise this spring and Katie Couric’s new, anticipated daytime show is reported to be struggling as well. Jeff Probst and Ricki Lake have also debuted to lackluster ratings.

In a statement about his show coming to an end, Cooper said, “I am very proud of the work that our terrific staff has put into launching and sustaining our show for two seasons. I am also grateful to Telepictures for giving me the opportunity, and indebted to viewers, who have responded so positively. I look forward to doing more great shows this season, and though I’m sorry we won’t be continuing, I have truly enjoyed it.”

The show will finish out its sophomore season, with the last show airing summer 2013.

Fans of the handsome reporter can still see him on his CNN primetime show “Anderson Cooper 360," which remains the most-watched evening show on the cable news network, as well as during his short segments on CBS’s "60 Minutes."
