Venice Skate Park Considered A Birthplace Of Skateboarding

The Venice Skate Park, located in the center of Venice Beach, is a hot spot for skaters and is frequented by tourists. Santa Monica and Venice are considered the birthplace of skateboarding. Here the Dogtown Boys and the ZBoys, a group of teenage surfers, first started the skateboarding fad in the 1970s.
