A U.S. Navy submarine collided with an Aegis cruiser Saturday afternoon.

No personnel were injured in the incident, reports the Daily Beast.

The collision occurred off the East Coast of the U.S.

The Navy's Los Angeles-class nuclear-powered attack sub and the Aegis-class missile cruiser were being evaluated Sunday to determine the extent of the damage.

Navy officials told Fox News the collision was being investigated.

The submarine's propulsion plant was unaffected by the collision.

The accident occurred around 3:30 Saturday, reports The Guardian.
