Real estate mogul Donald Trump delivered on his hyped "bombshell" Wednesday with the announcement he'd donate $5 million to a charity chosen by President Barack Obama if the incumbent released his college and passport records.

Reuters reported the announcement came via YouTube video released on his Twitter and Facebook pages.

"Frankly," Trump said, "it's a check that I very much want to write."

Trump didn't say exactly what he thought might be revealed by Obama's records, only that Obama is "the least transparent president in the history of this country," and that the release would "end the question and indeed the anger of many Americans."
