Suspects Detained For Murder Of U.S. Ambassador In Libya

Two suspects linked to the killing of U.S. ambassador Christopher Stevens in Libya last month were detained at an airport in Istanbul, Turkey, on Friday, according to Reuters. The suspects were described as Tunisian citizens who tried to enter Turkey with fake passports.
Stevens was one of four Americans killed on Sept. 11 at the U.S. Embassy in Libya. The attack was believed to have been sparked by outrage over the Innocence of Muslims film that gave an offensive portrayal of the Prophet Mohammed, causing about 20 anti-American protests.
The Istanbul Police offered no comment to Reuters about the suspects.
