This fall, Sprinkles Cupcakes is making the politics even sweeter with its election cupcake VOTE boxes.

In this video, Neon Tommy goes behind the scenes with Megan Yokoyama, general manager of Sprinkles Cupcakes Beverly Hills, who gives us an insider’s look at what’s inside these VOTE boxes.

The VOTE Box comprises Sprinkles' most popular flavors, including the red velvet, vanilla and dark chocolate cupcakes.

“The dark chocolate is Candace Nelson’s [Sprinkles founder] favorite cupcake,” Yokoyama says.

Customers can get their hands on these VOTE boxes through both walk-in orders and online.

“We just need to freshly frost the cupcakes, but they [customers] can definitely order it in-store,” Yokoyama says. “If they [customers] were to order it online, we just ask for a two-hour notice in advance so we have enough time to properly prepare it.”

Currently, Yokoyama has not seen too many customers ordering these VOTE boxes, but she is sure that will change as the elections draw nearer. She also notes that the approximate number of Obama and Romney cupcakes orders are neck and neck.

“The ‘VOTE 2012’ [cupcakes] with the donkey and the elephant is the most popular design,” she says. “It’s [the number of Obama and Romney cupcake orders] pretty close, similar to the presidential polls. It depends on the day.”

Sprinkles VOTE Boxes are available until Nov. 11. Check out the Sprinkles Cupcakes Website to learn more about their election cupcakes. Election cupcakes can also be ordered online

Those wanting to try the VOTE Box can visit the Beverly Hills Sprinkles at 9635 South Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills 90210. Sprinkles Beverly Hills is open Monday thru Saturday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
