We start this week’s episode with the tragic disappearance of a young D.C college student. The young girl's parents go to Olivia Pope for her assistance in finding their daughter. As Olivia Pope dives head first into this case, she discovers that the young girl’s death was at the hands of a Kazakhstani national... who has diplomatic immunity. The only way to get past this pesky issue is to turn to her ally in the white house - the president. She is met with a serious road block when she discovers that the president's hands are tied due to national security issues.

Olivia and President Grant's relationship remains complicated, to say the least. Over these past few episodes we have seen Olivia trying to let go of the President and often urging him to let her go as well. Nether seemed to know how to push aside their feelings for each other until now. In this episode, the president officially ends things with Olivia in a heart-breaking scene. Gone are the days of calling up the White House for favors... or are they? Olivia finds a surprising “new” ally in the White House - Mellie, the First Lady. Mellie has been trying to gain political capital and sees Olivia's case as a great opportunity to obtain it. Fierce enemies have turned into allies. However, the episode reveals that this may not have be the first time the two have worked together. As the former Attorney General David Rosen gets closer to solving the mystery surrounding Quinn Perkins, we start to see the power players that were involved in this intriguing cover up. Mellie and Olivia are among those who are involved. This week was a shocker! I still can’t believe that Olivia and the president's relationship is over! I can’t wait to find out more! Unfortunately we have to wait two long weeks to uncover more on "Scandal". See you then!
