Only three episodes in, and hunting season has officially begun on ABC’s hit “Scandal”. Most of us have heard of “big brother”, the idea that the government always has its eyes on you. We tend to brush those silly schemes aside leaving it for some conspiracy theorist to play with, but what if it were true?

“Scandal” brings that nightmare scenario to life in tonight’s jaw-dropping episode. It all starts when Olivia Pope finds a rather odd and paranoid man in her car named Artie. Artie reveals himself to be a former government employee that has some damning evidence on the government and needs protection. Olivia seems unconvinced until he reveals that he knows about her late night calls with the president. He later explains that the government has been secretly spying on its own citizens in a scandal called "Thorn-gate".

Olivia is caught off guard and sets off to find how far up this scandal goes. The case becomes urgent when some of Artie's co-workers end up dead. Olivia realizes that in order to protect Artie she has to take his findings to the public. Artie is put into hiding, and Olivia starts scheming to air the footage of "Thorn-gate" to the nation.

Though, in classic "Scandal" style, all is not what it seems. Artie pulled a fast one on everyone! He used Olivia and her team to unlock "Thorn-gate‘s" encryption, so he could sell it to the highest bidder. He almost got away with it utnil Huck, Olivia’s tough guy, got a hold of him and turned him over to the government.

But wait, there's more! In the midst of all of this we see a very steamy scene involving Olivia and the president, where they share a very intimate moment . The First lady finds out about the President's little outing and brings out the big guns, giving him an ultimatum - either he gives up Olivia and ceases to see her, or the she will do all in her power to make sure the President only serves one term. I have stopped trying to predict what is going to happen next, all I know is that I can’t wait in till next week!

See what "Scandal" has in store for next weeks episode below!
