Mitt Romney’s campaign has increased its spending on ads in key swing states like Colorado, Florida, Iowa and Virginia.

Romney is now outspending President Obama on television ads for the first time in the election season. He is scheduled to spend $16.8 million on ads this week while Obama will spend $15.5 million.

When including super PACs supporting Romney and Obama, the numbers change to $31.4 million on ads for Romney and $19.7 million on ads for Obama. The super PAC Restore Our Future has dedicated $14 million in ads in nine states for the last week of October alone.
