Festival Preview: "Taste of Italy"

The event, presented by the Italian American Museum of Los Angeles, features more than 50 of the city’s top-notch Italian American and Italian restaurants and wineries. It also benefits the IAMLA, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.
The fourth annual Taste of Italy event will be held in downtown Los Angeles on 424 Main St. from 5-10 p.m.
A collaboration between the Italy America Chamber of Commerce West and the IAMLA, Taste of Italy showcases cuisine from eateries have received the Marchio Ospitalitá Italiana, Italy’s highest culinary honor for authenticity and gastronomic excellence.
Some of the restaurants participating in the event include Osteria Drago, Marino, Il Fornaio and Caffe Roma, among many others (see IAMLA's Website for the full list of participating eateries).
In addition to the delicious food, Taste of Italy will feature live performances from Mama Marjas, Italy’s best-selling reggae band, as well as from classical virtuosa Nicole Nale and the Casa Italiana Opera Company.
General Admission tickets for Taste of Italy are $50 presale or $60 at the door.
Each guest will receive 10 tasting tickets (six for food, four for beverage) with each General Admission ticket. Each taste ticket is good for a portion of the available foods and beverages, and guests can purchase additional taste tickets at the event. Guests can choose the venues from which they want to “taste” and can return to them numerous times.
