"V for Vendetta" masks, colored signs and American flags were taken out of retirement today when protestors gathered during a heat wave at Pershing Square to mark the one-year anniversary of Occupy L.A.

Though the rally garnered more media than participants at noon, protestors trickling in quickly made it impossible to miss the action occupying the corner of Sixth Avenue and Olive Street. The march that followed led to a massive gathering at City Hall.
