Martha Raddatz was applauded by viewers for her informed and organized role as moderator in the vice presidential debate tonight between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan.

Raddatz has been in the spotlight in the days leading up to tonight's debate, but the ABC News senior foreign affairs correspondent made no fault in her control of the roundtable.  Her authority was only furthered by her relevant and poignant questions.

The effectiveness of tonight's moderator has been of great discussion after PBS's Jim Lehrer faced scrutiny for his performance during the first presidential debate.

Raddatz's relationship with President Obama also came under question early Thursday morning when conservatives scandalized the president's invitation to her wedding in 1991.

However, Raddatz's questions were moderate and her delivery authoritative. Her approach allowed for entertaining and passionate dialogue between the candidates, while she never lost control of the topics at hand.
