It was a classic case of Two-of-a-Kind at the Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 Ready To Wear show. Marc Jacobs had his girls marching in groups of two in complementary 60's mod prints. Daniel Buren's Les Deux Plateaux provided the starting point for the show held at the Louvre.

The three different lengths of the columns indicated the lengths of the outfits- mini, midi and maxi. He also collaborated on the set design, which had four escalators landing on a yellow and white checked runway. The models descended from these escalators.

It seems Marc Jacobs is making this quite a trademark for Louis Vuitton shows as it was reminiscent of the Fall 2011 show in which the models used elevators. It's a disappointment that there was no Kate Moss at this show.

As far as the main trends go, Jacobs focused on the brand's traditional checks but introduced the yellow and white scheme to the collection that was previously dominated by brown, grey and cream. Most outfits were in the form of suits featuring either skirts, shorts or pants. The dresses also exuded a very 60s vibe with their structured silhouettes. In addition, some floral prints were featured in the collection but the most eye catching outfits came in yellow hues. The Speedy bag was also recreated in a yellow tone. Side swept bangs and hairbands with bows kept the look summery and very, very sixties.
