Koch Industries has sent a vaguely threatening letter to its employees warning them to vote for Mitt Romney or “suffer the consequences.” The letter was sent to the 45,000 employees of Georgia-Pacific and warned of “higher gasoline prices, runaway inflation, and other ills.”

It is a controversial move for the billionaire Koch brothers who have been accused of trying to control the political process through hundreds of millions of dollars in donations to right-wing causes and candidates.

The voter guide packet also included a list of candidates supported by Koch companies and pro-Romney op-eds by Charles and David Koch. The letter also noted that employees’ voting decisions are “yours and yours alone.”

Koch Industries has issues a response, saying that the packet "contained information employees commonly ask about" and Koch companies support candidates "based on their support for market-based policies and economic freedom."

Great example of taking something out of context. "Suffer the consequences" like higher gas prices and more debt. That was not referring to the employees' jobs. Tricia, you epitomize why so many people hate journalists and the media. This garbage is irresponsible and undisciplined. Don't try and rephrase the news to fit your liberal viewpoints--the truth has no agenda. You are going to try and apply for a job in journalism some day and no one will hire you when they see this trash.
