Born on September 23, 2012, it is believed that Alexander John was born via a surrogate mother. However, in true Tom Ford fashion, the whole process has been kept very secretive.

"If I have children, no one will know about it until the child is born. And no one will ever see the child because I certainly wouldn't use it as a press tool," the designer said in a 2011 interview with Time Out Hong Kong. "If I have a child, you won't notice that I had a child. Maybe you'll see it when it's 18, but I will keep it out of the spotlight."

Ford, 51, and Buckley, 64, have been together for almost 26 years now. The two fashion gurus first met at a fashion show in 1986, just as Ford had taken the reigns at Gucci. Ford is often credited with reviving Gucci during his 10 year run as creative director of the label.
