Endeavour Finally Makes It To Exposition Park
The retired space plane had finally arrived at Exposition Park after its trek through Los Angeles streets to the California Science Center took roughly 10 hours longer than expected.
According to Reuters, maintenance needed on the transporter beneath the shuttle and stray tree trimming along the route were responsible for the delay.
But loyal fans stuck it out, waiting patiently for Endeavour to crawl into the parking lot of Exposition Park Sunday morning.
The 122 ft.-long and 78 ft.-wide shuttle, standing 5 stories tall, will be on display inside the science center beginning Oct. 30.
