Cue Drake’s “Make Me Proud.”

The 25-year-old actor/rapper/singer/songwriter announced Wednesday night on Twitter that he just graduated high school.

Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, dropped out of Canada’s prestigious Vaughan Road Academy at 15 to star in the Canadian teen soap, "Degrassi: The Next Generation".

He played James “Jimmy” Brooks, a wheelchair-bound former basketball player with a gift for music for seven seasons, leaving the show in 2009.

The Toronto-born rapper told Complex Music that he took the job to earn money for his struggling family. He revealed, "My mother was very sick. We were poor, like broke. The only money I had coming in was off of Canadian TV.”

Things have really taken a turn for the multi-platinum artist, who currently ranks No. 6 on Forbes’ “Hip Hop Cash Kings” list as he earned $20.5 million from May 2011 to May 2012.

Signed with Lil Wayne’s label, Young Money Entertainment, Drizzy’s most recent tour, Club Paradise Tour to promote "Take Care,", earned more than $42 million worldwide, making it the most successful hip-hop tour of early 2012.

Still, despite his success, Drake must have remembered that his mother, retired educator Sandi Graham, did not support her young son’s decision to drop out of high school.

Back in August, the “Best I Ever Had” artist told NOW Toronto, "I'm actually spending my summer graduating high school. That's my main focus...I only have one credit left, and I'm really excited about that."

Drake has always been open about his education level. He raps in "Crew Love,” "I guess we'll never know what Harvard gets us/ But seeing my family have it all/ Took the place of that desire for diplomas on the wall."

Bet that diploma will look pretty nice somewhere in between his MTV VMA and BET Awards!
