Don't Trust the (Stylish) B---- in Apartment 23

Alas! The season premiere of "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" is tonight. For everyone who's new to this show, the series revolves around how a small town girl, June (Dreama Walker), tries to make it in NYC with her party crazy roommate, Chloe (Krysten Ritter) and her best friend James van der Beek (yes -- Dawson himself!).

In every episode, we follow June as she attempts to keep up with Chloe and James's wild and carefree lifestyle, while finding herself being dragged into absurd adventures with them every other day.

The one thing that the show manages to capture really well is the essence of New York chic through Chloe's wardrobe. But at the same time, I would describe her style as a sort of glamorous vampire goth (that fair skin! that red lip!).

She's usually sporting the leather and leopard print look, while mostly seen in either black or red. It matches Chloe's personality a lot and embodies the true New Yorker attitude in her.

On the other hand June definitely has a much more conservative style and dresses in a cute, almost childlike way. She's always seen in colored tops and black jeans on the show. Similarly, this is aligned with her small-town sass and the pop of florals in her outfits sometimes make her stand out even more than Chloe does!

But what I love about the way both Chloe and June dress in the show is that nothing they ever wear is too flashy, over the top, or high-end (unlike styles in "Gossip Girl"). Their looks are something that almost any other girl can replicate if they wanted to. Most pieces of clothes seen on them are probably available from stores such as F21 or H&M. It makes me happy to see that the style of each character in this show is so distinct yet practically put together! I can't wait to see what the show has in store for this season.

And to end this post, I'll leave all you guys with the one and only picture of James Van Der Beek('s ass) you'll ever need to see on this show:
