A survey from the Pew Research Center found that Vice President Joe Biden is viewed more unfavorably than GOP rival Paul Ryan heading into Thursday's vice presidential debate, according to the Wall Street Journal.

About 51 percent of registered voters see Biden unfavorably, compared with 39 percent who gave him positive marks. Voters were more evenly divided with Rep. Ryan, who is seen favorably by 44 percent and unfavorably by 44 percent.

Voters also expect Ryan to produce a better showing in the VP debate, with 40 percent saying the Wisconsin representative will outperform Biden. Thirty-four percent picked Biden to do better.
