Hollywood’s newest funny girl Mindy Kaling has a book, hit TV show and now a movie with a star cast in the works. Who is the celebrity actress slated to star in Kaling’s rom-com? Newlywed Anne Hathaway.

The romantic comedy, titled "The Low Self-Esteem of Lizzie Gillespie", was co-written by Kaling, 33, and Brent Forrester of "The Office." The movie follows a young woman who struggles with her confidence and the losers she dates until an immensely attractive guy starts to relentlessly pursue her.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hathaway, 29, will play the lead while Kaling herself will take on a supporting role.

Kaling currently plays a doctor obsessed with romantic comedies in her Fox sitcom "The Mindy Project". Hathaway recently starred as Catwoman in the summer box-office hit "The Dark Knight Rises" and is in the much-anticipated "Les Miserables," which opens December 25.
