Two Marines face criminal charges for allegedly urinating on the bodies of dead Taliban fighters, as captured in a widely circulated video that sparked indignation earlier this year, Reuters reports.

The Marine Corps announced Monday that Staff Sergeants Joseph W. Chamblin and Edward W. Deptola will be charged for the incident, as well as “posing for unofficial photographs with human casualties” and failing to properly supervise junior Marines.

While the video made headlines in January, it was actually filmed in July 2011 in Afghanistan’s Helmand province.

Three other Marines already pleaded guilty to charges regarding the video in August, but Chamblin and Deptola are the first to be criminally charged for the incident.

The Marine Corps also said that there were other cases pending regarding the video investigation.
