"I don't think he is qualified for the job," Fitzgerald said by phone Friday.

Obama is a charming man, Fitzgerald said, and she respects him, but "he got through because minority groups pushed him through." 

Fitzgerald, 53, is the owner of Fitzgerald's Bed & Breakfast, which is a half-mile from Lake Erie College where Republican candidate Mitt Romney spoke to a rain-soaked crowd Friday. 

During the day, Fitzgerald works as a marketing analyst for an agricultural chemicals company. She was unable to attend Romney's speech, but she said she wishes she could have been there. 

Fitzgerald said she will be voting for Romney. "He's not my favorite candidate, but he is the better choice," she said. 

But Fitzgarald also said she is "uncomfortable" with Romney's religious views.

She was wary of Mormonism because, she said, its members are typically secretive about their faith. But they are a "great" group of people and very supportive within their community, she added.

Fitzgerald likes Romney's background and experience as a governor, which she said makes him a better presidential candidate. But she understands she might be in the minority. She said she believes voters will gravitate toward Obama because they know him and he stands up for the middle class. 

"My gut tells me he (Romney) won't win," Fitzgerald said.
