Space Shuttle Endeavour Begins Final Voyage
The Los Angeles Times reported the shuttle rode piggyback on a modified Boeing 747 from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Its next stop Thursday is Biggs Air Field in El Paso, followed by Edwards Air Force Base in California.
After a low flight over Sacramento, San Francisco and key parts of L.A., the shuttle will make its way to LAX, landing Friday. A United Airlines will serve as the temporary home until Oct. 12, when it starts a two-day drive through the streets of L.A. to the California Science Center in Exposition Park.
