The countdown is on to the 2012 Emmy's. One of my personal favorite parts of the awards are all things comedy.

This year, a "Saturday Night Live" actor has been nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. That actor is 34-year-old comedian, Bill Hader. He is the first SNL male cast member to be nominated for an Emmy since Eddie Murphy in 1983.

Hader has inspired many laughs with his impressions of James Carville, Clint Eastwood and others. But he is perhaps best-known these days for his character, "Stefon", a nightlife and city correspondent who makes regular appearances on SNL's Weekend Update with Seth Meyers.

His character of Stefon is hilarious. In fact, Stefon's appearances on Weekend Update are often so funny he and Seth have to try their best not to laugh out loud themselves.

Hader created the character of Stefon with John Mulaney, a writer for SNL. In a recent interview with NPR, Hader acknowledged how much fans love the character Stefon. "The majority of people come up to me and say 'I'm a Stefon,' or 'I've been called a Stefon,' or 'I used to date someone like Stefon,' " Hader said.

I'm a big fan of Hader's Stefon as well, and will definitely be rooting for him tomorrow night!
