After leaked footage of GOP representative Mitt Romney giving a speech on the 47% of voters that will stay loyal to President Obama, as well as being a group that does not pay income taxes, the running candidate responded to the press

He stood by everything he once claimed and continues to insist that he gives the same messages to all audiences.

“We have a very different approach, the president and I, between a government dominated society and a society driven by free people pursuing their dreams,” he continued. “Typically I don’t talk about process in speeches because I think candidates are wiser to talk about policy and their vision than to talk about how they’re going to win an election… The president has his group I have my group. I want to keep my team strong and motivated and I want to get those people in the middle. That’s something which fundraising people who are parting with their monies are very interested in knowing can you win or not and that’s what this was addressing.”

Romney stated that the fundraiser he addressed was a question and answer session and he only answered how he intended to win the election. He sees his responses as a realistic way of reassuring his supporters.
