Occupy Los Angeles approved plans for a rally on Oct. 1 at Pershing square, as part of their one-year anniversary weekend, according to the Los Angeles General Assembly website.

The march is intended to show Occupy L.A.'s dedication to the movement through "taking direct action against corrupt practices of the corporate, financial and political elite." It will take place from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and will end with a collective assembly, with opportunities for dialogue and information.

According to the website, the march will be anything "from a scavenger type march with multiple stops at multiple targets in the Downtown financial district to a mass march with political alliances demonstrated through an 'edu block' 'anti-war block' 'environmental bloc' etc to allow multiple entry points."
