The royal Minaj-esty has granted her nobility yet another courtesy. The rapper, singer and songwriter is officially releasing her first fragrance, 'Pink Friday'.  It was purely a matter of time until Minaj jumped on the perfume-making bandwagon that all pop-stars seem to ride nowadays.

Minaj will release her new scent on Monday Sept. 24 at New York City’s iconic Macy’s in Herald Square. But the bottle is not the only thing planned to appear in the store. The triple (or now quadruple) threat will make a personal appearance to present the perfume.

And it gets better. The first 300 fans who purchase the $155 “Exclusive Gift Set Bundle,” which contains the Pink Friday perfume along with a slew of other products like body lotion and hair mist, will be part of the meet and greet. Their gift sets will be autographed by the Minajesty, herself.

The eau de parfum mimics Harajuku Barbie, one of Minaj’s alter-egos. It is sans the exercised nature of Roman Zolanski, thug-like character of Female Weezy and Latina flavor of Rosa. There is no harshness to the Barbie’s bottle. In place of spikes, leather accents and intense designs, it is a pink, gold and extremely girly. It’s having a personal mini-Minaj statue to adorn your nightstand – with powdery pink lipstick, a tailored pink wig and a fitted white corset. In true diva form, each bottle has a Nicki Minaj gold nameplate necklace that falls perfectly on the bottle’s plunging pink neckline.
According to Basenotes, Pink Friday contains notes of fruits, flowers, and vanilla – like a true girly perfume should. Minaj recently tweeted that her perfume smells “like angels playing.”

The innovation, however, does not stop there. Minaj kicked off the Pink Friday fragrance promotion by releasing campaign ads via her personal twitter account. The photographs, taken by New York’s Howard Huang, featured a larger-than-life Minaj clad in pink tutus and bedazzled pumps against a rosy background. In one of the two campaign photos, Minaj stands tall in front of the New York Skyline backdrop like the Statue of Liberty – which is perfectly fitting as she continues to expand her horizons as a leader in the music and entertainment industries.

“Pink Friday is a celebration of my life at this moment; it is a reflection of me as a creator, and an expression of me as a woman.  I know my Barbz will connect with and appreciate each aspect – from the name, to the outrageous bottle design, to the vibrant colors that create their own song.  Pink Friday shows off my personality and style; it’s exciting to express my voice through another dimension,” says Nicki Minaj.
Pink Friday will be sold at various Macy’s, Nordstroms and Dillards, Other department stores, both in the United States and internationally, plan to carry the product as well.
