New Evidence Shows Trayvon Martin Never Touched Gun

New evidence in the case against George Zimmerman for the murder of Trayvon Matin suggests the 17-year-old never touched the gun that killed him.

The Orlando Sentinel reported prosecutors released more than 200 photos and a series of DNA reports from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Though the photographs included "no bombshells," the reports detailed DNA analysis of Zimmerman's gun, tests that found multiple people had handled the gun—but none of them were Martin.

During the investigation, Zimmerman has maintained in his statements to police he only opened fire when Martin reached for the gun Zimmerman was carrying in a holster on his waist.
