Get your iPads ready, little monsters.

Lady Gaga announced in a statement Wednesday that her new album, "Artpop," will also be released as an interactive app. Complete with chat, films for each song, games and more, the app will be compatible with mobile devices and computers. Gaga said she will be uploading content herself and using the app to communicate with fans.

"Artpop," her third studio album after 2011’s "Born This Way," is set for an early 2013 release. And until then, Mother Monster urged her fans to “start asking for iPads for X-mas!!” When’s the Apple endorsement coming, Gaga?

It has been a busy day for the pop singer. She also announced the first installment of dates for the North American leg of her Born This Way Ball tour, coming to L.A.’s Staples Center Jan. 20.
