Gulf Coast Residents Suffer Through Slow Isaac Cleanup
The Associated Press reported more than 400,000 Louisiana customers were without power, down from roughly 900,000. Their patience with Entergy Corp, the AP said, was wearing thing.
"I don't see boots on the ground," one resident said. A spokesman fro Entergy said crews from 24 states have descended on Louisiana, restoring electricity for about 45 percent of customers in a day and a half.
That wasn't enough to placate New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landreiu, who said he expected a faster recovery.
Republican candidate Mitt Romney visited the area Friday, while President Barack Obama plans to swing in Monday.
