The Voice” blind auditions continued Monday night with plenty of star talent. One memorable performance came from 17-year-old Melanie Martinez.

The student appeared onstage to perform “Toxic” by Britney Spears. Between her vocal ability, guitar skills and use of the tambourine during her performance, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green couldn’t help but turn their chairs.

Levine praised her musical abilities and begged the singer to be on his team. “I want someone to have a creative vision,” Levine said. “It was unique, it was cool and you’re amazing looking. I made the right choice.”

Shelton jumped into the battle and tried to convince Martinez to join his team. “I was hearing a unique artist that doesn’t sound like anybody else,” Shelton said. “I think you’re a star.”

In the end, Martinez picked Levine’s team for the season. We have to wonder, however, why didn’t Aguilera fight for Martinez? Aguilera claimed the boys were going to battle it out and Martinez would be in good hands. However, could Aguilera not be a true fan of someone who sings a song from Spears?

Watch the performance for yourself below and let us know if you think Martinez would have been a good choice for Aguilera’s team.
