Chicago Teachers Continue Their Strike, Obama Doesn't Respond

After a day of forced hooky due to the teacher's strike in Chicago, more than 350,000 children were stuck at home, or wherever their busy parents decided to keep them. 

Mayor Rahm Emanual stuck to what he discussed over the weekend negotiations and refused to back down or give in to any demands. 

“You have a situation where the teachers feel totally and completely disrespected,” said Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, the parent union of the striking teachers, in a New York Times article
