Katy Perry Named Billboard's Woman Of The Year
According to Billboard, the internationally known pop star has sold 48 million tracks in the U.S. alone, including "E.T." featuring Kanye West, "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream," and her first mainstream single "I Kissed a Girl."
The singer has expanded her horizons by becoming an entrepreneur and using her name to sell her own beauty products including false eyelashes, perfume and nail polish. She is also a spokeswoman for Proactive.
Billboard's editorial director, Bill Werde, says, "Katy Perry broke into the industry not even five years ago, and has already accomplished more than most artists can hope for in an entire career."
See Perry receive her award at the 2012 Billboard Women in Music ceremony, held in New York on November 30.
