Two Earthquakes In Iran Kill 300
The two earthquakes struck within 11 minutes of each other, registering magnitudes of 6.2 and 6.0, respectively, the Detroit Free Press reported.
Iranian relief workers have managed to save more than 200 people from dozens of destroyed villages after two powerful earthquakes struck, the New York Times reported.
Reuters said that a fear of aftershocks and a lack of supplies have left many temporarily out on the street.
“Thousands huddled in makeshift camps or slept in the street after Saturday's quakes for fear of more aftershocks, 60 of which had already struck. A lack of tents and other supplies left them exposed to the night chill, one witness told Reuters.”
