Top U.S. Military Leader's Plane Attacked In Afghanistan

Fresh out of meetings to address recent attacks on U.S. soldiers by Afghan army personnel, U.S. Gen. Martin Dempsey received word his plane had been damaged Tuesday by rocket fire shrapnel.

CNN reported Dempsey was in his room at the time and "not in any danger" according to a spokesman.

Since arriving Monday, Dempsey has met with NATO and Afghan leaders to discuss changes in security on bases.

Twenty-three Americans have been killed in attacks by Afghan military and police personnel, out of a total 40.

The attacks prompted NATO commander Gen. John Allen on Friday to order troops at NATO headquarters and bases in Afghanistan to carry loaded weapons at all times
