Lollapalooza Festival Suspended Over Bad Weather

Lollapalooza festival goers at Grant Park, near Chicago, are being evacuated as heavy thunderstorms threaten the area on the festival's second day.

According to Rolling Stone, the National Weather Serviced issued severe thunderstorm and weather warnings on Saturday. Police from the Chicago Police Department and festival staff members began evacuating crowds from Grant Park at 3:30 p.m. CDT, when the festival shut down.

The festival has been suspended until further notice; the National Weather Service warning is in effect until 8:00 p.m. CDT.
