James Holmes, the suspect in last week’s shooting at a showing of “Dark Knight Rises” in Aurora, Colorado, rigged his apartment with explosive devices. A new report shows that these devices included more than 30 homemade grenades and 10 gallons of gasoline.

A law enforcement official saw this as he viewed the video taken of the inside of Holmes’ apartment. The official stated, “By the time a fire truck would have arrived, they would have arrived to a building that would have been completely consumed in flames.”

The grenades were wired to a control box in the kitchen. Police disabled the device with a remote-controlled robot. The grenades and gasoline add new weight to Holmes’ already-discovered arsenal of four guns and over 6,000 rounds of ammunition.
