The JetBlue pilot who exhibited erratic behavior mid-flight and forced an emergency landing in March, was found not guilty by a Texas Judge.

On Tuesday, Clayton Osbon was declared insane, evading interference charges that could have put him behind bars for up to 20 years. Findings from a psychological examination determined Osbon suffered from "a severe mental disease or defect that impaired his ability to appreciate the nature, quality, or wrongfulness of his behavior."

On the March 27 flight, the FBI said Osbon tried to interfere with the plane's controls and began rambling, "We're not going to Vegas" and "We're going to have to take a leap of faith." Passengers were forced to wrestle the pilot to the floor after he sprinted through the plane's cabin shouting about Jesus and al-Quaida.

Osbon will be sent to a federal mental health facility for additional psychological evaluation until an August hearing will decide whether to release him or commit him to a mental facility.
