Government forces in Syria broke out the big guns—or helicopters, to be exact—during clashes with rebels in Damascus Tuesday.

It's the third day of violence in the capital, including a firefight near Parliament, according to Bloomberg Businessweek

Echoing what has become an unfortunate refrain for the conflict, Bloomberg reported the violence "is the most widespread and sustained fighting" in the capital since the Syrian uprising began almost a year and a half ago.

Meanwhile, footage of last month's assault in Douma has surfaced, leaked by opposition activists. According to CNN, three men snuck the video through tight national security to reach reporters in Lebanon.

The "dark images" depicted include the dead body of a young girl among others. Some 45 people were killed during that particular attack. See clips of the footage at CNN.
