High-street fashion mogul Topshop has teamed up with Reclaim To Wear to create its first eco-fashion line using sustainable materials. This line will feature items made from production off-cuts and surplus stock. The collection will be on sale in London's Oxford Circus and online by mid-June. It includes a blouse, striped-and-color-blocked maxidress and a grey sweater.

"This is the first step towards the creation of zero waste design collections," said Reclaim To Wear creative director Orsola de Castro. Castro and Filippo Ricci launched Reclaim To Wear in 1997 through their label From Somewhere. These brands wish to address the issue of textile waste. With many leading brands, for example H&M, joining the eco-friendly bandwagon, it is easy to see how the fashion industry is incorporating environmental awareness into its collections.
