Sandusky Begins Defense

Defense attorneys opened their presentation by calling two former coaches to the stand who testified that coaches and young boys showering at camp was not unusual. Former college teammate and Penn State coaching colleague Richard Anderson vouched for Sandusky's "wonderful" reputation and said young boys regularly shower at the same time older people are showering at the YMCA. Anderson said he had never seen Sandusky engage in any inappropriate activity.
A second witness, Booker T. Brooks, who worked with Sandusky at Penn State said he had showered with young kids "many times" and always naked. Brooks also testified that this sort of behavior wasn't unusual at youth camp.
Sandusky is accused of molesting 10 boys over a 15 year period and originally faced 52 counts of child sex abuse. Due to the statute of limitations prosecutors dropped one charge Monday morning.
Defense is expected to rest on Wednesday and jury deliberations set to begin Thursday.
