Colorado Springs Police Chief Peter Carey said the body was found in the debris of a burned-out home and that less than 10 people are still reported missing.

Obama will visit the devastated area in what some call the most destructive blaze in the state’s history. Over 200,000 homes are still threatened by the blaze, which has burned through at least 18,500 acres.

Obama declared Colorado to be in a state of “major disaster” Friday morning, according to The Chicago Tribune. Fire officials said the Waldo Canyon Fire is now 15 percent contained, and that lighter winds on Thursday helped firefighters gain new ground against the flames.
