President Obama arrived in Orlando on Friday to give a speech to the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, just one day after Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney gave the group his stance on immigration.

Obama told the Latino lawmakers that he "will not give up the fight" to reform immigration laws as long as he remains president. He pointed out that Romney intends to veto the DREAM Act and that "we should take him at his word," according to WFTV.

Obama’s speech comes shortly after his announcement that undocumented immigrants under 30, who were brought to the United States as children, would be eligible to avoid deportation and granted work permits for up to two years.

After the NALEO conference, Obama will also travel to Tampa to give a speech at Hillsborough Community College’s Dale Mabry campus.
