Mitt Romney, Silicon Valley's New Darling?

CNBC reports that due to Obama's anti-business legislations, such as the Dodd-Frank financial regulation reform and the healthcare overhaul, tech leaders may be realigning themselves closer to former private equity executive Mitt Romney.

Romney's support of Bush-era tax cuts for the rich and his free trade credentials have endeared him with Silicon Valley entrepreneurs. In his campaign so far, Romney has raised almost $340,000 from the 15 tech companies' employees. John McCain, back in 2008, raised only $240,000. 

Netscape co-founder, Marc Andreessen, recently announced his switch from Obama to Romney. According to Walter Isaacson, Steve Jobs' biographer, the founder of Apple warned Obama that in order to win relection, he needed to be more business-friendly. 

To date, Obama has pulled in $1.44 million from this same group of tech employees, and although four years ago, he raised $1.6 million from this same group, compared to Romney's sums, Obama is still the main contender in the Silicon Valley.
