Renowned televangelist Creflo Dollar, who was arrested on Friday on charges he beat his 15-year-old daughter, proclaimed his innocence from the pulpit on Sunday, calling the claims against him "an exaggeration and sensationalism."

Dollar was arrested Friday after his teenage daughter claimed the pastor choked and restrained her during a family argument. Dollar's 19-year-old daughter corroborated her sister's story, alleging that marks on the 15-year-old's neck were evidence of a physical altercation. Dollar has dismissed the marks on his daughter's face as symptoms of eczema. Dollar is the founder and pastor of World Changers Church International in suburban Atlanta, which claims around 30,000 members. World Changers preaches the Prosperity Gospel, which teaches God rewards the faithful with spiritual and material wealth.

"I will say this emphatically: I should have never been arrested," Dollar said from the pupit Sunday.

Dollar faces charges of family violence, child cruelty and battery.
