Maria Sharapova Completes A Career Grand Slam
Since winning Wimbledon at the age of 17, Sharapova's tennis career has been tumultuous, but always aimed at the top. With her victory at Roland Garros on Saturday, she becomes just the sixth woman since the Open system has been set up to win all four major tournaments (the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon, and the U.S. Open - altogether, the Grand Slam) in the length of her career. Sharapova had been suffering from a shoulder injury earlier during the year which endangered her tennis career, but the 25-year-old pulled through to beat the surprise finalist Errani 6-3, 6-2.
