Lagerfeld is a very busy man this year! After creating Drew Barrymore's Chanel couture wedding dress, hosting the New York exhibition for The Little Black Jacket and preparing for Chanel's July fashion show, he has found time to create a 17 piece cosmetics line for Japanese beauty brand Shu Uemura.

This Christmas 2012 collection will be branded as Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura. The two innovators were friends for more than 20 years and this collaboration will surely help strengthen Lagerfeld's relationship with the brand. He professes to using Uemura's eye shadows to design his sketches instead of regular artwork supplies. Lagerfeld says, "I design with Shu Uemura make-up because other manufacturers do not offer such beautiful colours."

In homage to the late Mr. Uemura, Karl Lagerfeld has not only designed the entire color selection and packaging but also photographed the visual ad campaign himself and has left us looking forward to Christmas more than ever.
